I came across this pin forever ago. It lurked in the back of my head for months and months. But I was afraid. I thought my skillz weren't evolved enough...I read different versions of the pattern and I was scared. Turns out, it was not my fault.
My inaugural post should be something hilariously housewife-ish. I recently learned to knit, and I'm obsessed with it. I've been making all manner of rectangular things. I think, unfortunately, that we have had our fill of scarves. I decided to branch out into slightly more...practical projects.
At the time of writing, this is the longest item I have ever knitted*. Unblocked, it is measuring in at over eight feet long. I really need to block it though, because it is a beautiful lace-ish pattern.
I had a doctor's appointment this week. All went well, but I was not looking forward to the waiting room. It always seems as though the wait is painfully long, and you can only play so many rounds of Giant Boulder of Death on your phone before you start wanting to pull your eyebrows off. Since I have recently acquired a new skill, I decided to start a quickie project to help me pass the time.
I love cowls and infinity scarves. I've never been super crazy about regular scarves...I think because they blow around and feel fussy. So far, I think I've made eight different cowls...the kids adopted a few of them thankfully. Mostly they have been an exercise in new techniques or stitches, not really following any sort of pattern. This is my first attempt at really following directions.
